About Us
Established in 1975, the National Metrology Centre (NMC) is
Singapore's national metrology institute responsible for developing,
maintaining and disseminating national physical measurement
standards to underpin the nation's infrastructure of traceability
for measurement to the International System of Units (SI).

Our
Metrology Work
Our metrology laboratories occupy some 2,000 m² of environmentally
controlled space. Our multi-disciplinary team of experienced
scientists and engineers perform a wide range of calibration
and measurement activities.

& Events
On 1st Jan 2009, at 7:59:59 Singapore Time, a leap second is to be added to the Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). The Singapore Standard Time, which is 8 hours ahead of the UTC, will be delayed by one second.
