Symposium on Accurate Measurements of PV Cells and Modules (a satellite event of PV Asia Pacific 2012 Conference, Singapore, 23 Oct 2012)
Call for Papers
Dear colleagues,
You are cordially invited to submit an abstract for a paper at the Symposium on Accurate Measurements of Photovoltaic (PV) cells and Modules on 23 Oct 2012 (a satellite event of PV Asia Pacific 2012 Conference at Singapore).
Characterisation and performance testing are critical for the development of existing & emerging photovoltaic technologies and the growth of solar industry. As new solar products are being developed and manufactured, the energy conversion efficiency of solar cell devices needs to be accurately measured and calibrated, and these results should be recognised worldwide.
High accuracy calibration of solar cell requires primary standard traceable to SI radiometric unit for spectral responsivity and quantum efficiency measurements of solar PV devices.
Test results on solar cell efficiency can be recognised internationally if measurement is traceable to SI units of radiometry. Traceability is achieved by an unbroken chain of calibrations against recognised measurement standards.
In order to promote awareness on accurate measurements of PV cells and modules, National Metrology Centre (NMC), a member of Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) of Singapore, is organising the symposium on accurate measurements of PV cells and modules (in the morning on 23 Oct 2012) as a satellite event with PVAP 2012 conference in Singapore.
The symposium will invite some international recognized experts to share their expertise on accurate measurements of PV cells and modules. Local PV metrology and testing labs will also be invited to present their latest developments on state-of-the-art PV measurements facilities and capabilities. The symposium will consist of invited and contributed papers. Contributed papers may be selected for oral or poster presentation.
All information on online abstract submission is available in the Call for Papers & Important Dates. Please upload your abstract by 27 July 2012.
Following the submission, your abstract will be reviewed by the International Scientific Committee made up of leading solar experts. All authors will be notified of the acceptance of their abstract on 17 August 2012.
We look forward to receiving your abstract and welcoming you in Singapore this October.
Thanks and regards.
